A note on titles
Many important Thelemic works have several titles. Most are technically referred to as “Liber (number)” — e.g., Liber CCXX (220 in Roman numerals). Liber is simply the Latin word for “book,” while the number generally has some symbolic numerological connection to the nature of the work in question. For example, Liber XXX (30) deals with issues of balance; 30 is the number of the Hebrew letter Lamed, linked with the astrological sign Libra — the balances.
In addition to (or sometimes instead of) the formal Liber-number title, most works have one or more alternate titles. An example is Liber CCXX, which is also known as Liber AL vel Legis, and The Book of the Law. Where appropriate, alternate titles are listed above. For some works, subtitles are given in double quotes.
The International Headquarters and national Grand Lodges of O.T.O. publish several periodicals, listed below; many individual Lodges, Oases and Camps issue periodicals as well.
